FLORIDA TRAINING SERVICES, INC.
Florida Training Services' registered pre-apprenticeship program is similar to regular apprenticeship in which multi-trades have come together under one umbrella to offer classes to prep one for registered apprenticeship.
Pre-apprenticeship is an intro to the construction trades. It is the way to introduce and qualify someone into the construction trades apprenticeships. With pre-apprenticeship you learn basic safety techniques that will help you in the trades and at home. It will also help steer you towards a trade and assist in helping you obtain your GED, if needed, and/or ESOL.
Pre-apprenticeship consists of 137 hours of classroom training and 40 hours of hands-on lab training. This also includes Intro to Green Technologies. Support for on-the-job training is also available during pre-apprenticeship.
